Portavin Integrated Wine Services has firmly established itself as Australia’s leading wine packaging and distribution company after receiving a Service Excellence Award from DHL and Qantas.
Presented by Oren Cohen, National Supply Chain Manager and Ian Frain, General Manager of DHL Australia along with David Imrie, the Qantas Product Delivery Manager at Portavin’s Cheltenham site in Victoria, the Portavin team were thrilled to accept the award.
Portavin Integrated Wine Services supplies wine in 187mL PET to Qantas for inflight service in economy class cabins on all domestic and international routes. DHL delivers the supply chain solution to Qantas for distribution around the world of the Finished Goods produced by Portavin. This award has recognised Portavin as an integral part of this important supply chain.
At the award presentation, Oren and Ian from DHL, highlighted how Portavin had delivered Best Practice in Supply Chain Management by meeting DIFOT, invoice accuracy, response to order and compliance to process. Portavin was congratulated for delivering such great service for the last ten years, culminating in the award for 2014.
David Imrie from Qantas thanked the staff of Portavin for their important part in the process of getting wine in the 187mL bottle delivered to every wine drinking passenger in the Qantas network.
Portavin Victoria’s Managing Director, Ian Matthews, said that the entire team were extremely proud to be recognised and win the prestigious award.
