Portavin Girls Kick Goals in Relay For Life

Attired in tutus & feather boas, team ‘Fluffy Ducks’ consisting of 13 girls including seven from Portavin Margaret River, (Sharyn – team captain, Lorraine, Leanne, Lucinda, Tracey, Jan & Michele), walked nearly 150km over the 24 hours.

With little sleep, a lot of laughs, a few wines as well as that throwback to the 70s/80s, the fluffy duck cocktail, the girls conquered the challenge.

The ‘Fluffy Ducks’ claimed 1st prize for best costume & 1st prize for best decorated site but the biggest highlight was winning 3rd place in the fundraising out of 26 teams, with the ‘Fluffy Ducks’ raising nearly $7000 for the Cancer Council.

A superb job girls – a massive congratulations for a great effort!
