30th Annual Cullen’s chardonnay tasting a huge success

Mother nature rewarded the 30th annual Cullens Chardonnay tasting troupe with a perfect day to sip their way through a collection of the best 24 chardonnay wines made from the 2011 vintage last Saturday.

These wines came principally from Australia, USA & France with a very strong group from Margaret River. Whilst we forgave the French for still using cork it’s a shame that the guys who invented Stelvin tend not to use it! Work that one out?

Other highlights were the spectacular lunch that followed which was accompanied by the Famous Kevin John from 2007 Chardonnay – fondly known as the “Kevin 07” and the informative vineyard and winery tour.

A superb day was had by all! THANKS Vanya and the Cullen Wines team for your amazing hospitality and showing us this spectacular line-up of wines at the 30th year of this great event!
