our stand this year will also herald the introduction of our new “Wine by the glass” offering “Torr Dispensing by Portavin”.
This very clever yet simple system uses compressed air to transport wine from a high oxygen barrier 2 ply pouch inside a keg to a set of taps that can be individually temperature controlled. The great advantage of this system is that the kegs remain in-situ and the bags are a one-way disposable and recyclable item which is far more environmentally friendly than the equivalent amount of glass packaging.
We look forward to introducing you to this exciting new development and showing you the many advantages it has over the alternatives.
We will be located in the main exhibition hall and we look forward to speaking with our clients and meeting new industry partners.
About the Conference:
The program of the 16th Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference includes four days of plenary sessions incorporating WFA’s Outlook Conference on Monday 25 July.
A comprehensive workshop program, large poster display, student forum, a variety of social events and the industry’s most respected and extensive trade exhibition (AWITE) will also be available to delegates.
An exciting program will be presented by esteemed local and international speakers who will cover all aspects of grape and wine production from the vineyard to the consumer.
More than forty workshops are planned to include something for everyone. Topics will focus on key areas in the grape and wine value chain and include vineyard and winery management, optimising wine flavor, winery engineering and packaging, innovative practices and market development. Over 200 technical posters will update you on all the latest industry trends.
The poster display is an integral part of the AWITC program. Posters provide an opportunity for researchers to report on their latest work and interact directly with delegates, and they are an indicator to industry as to where research is heading in the future. Technical posters will be on display throughout the Conference.
The Portavin team looks forward to seeing you there!
